Stage 2 - July 24: Warszawa - Siedlce, 209.4 km

The first road stage of the Idea Mazovia Tour covered 209.4 km in hot temperatures. A cobbled section with some 30 km to go split the peloton but the Swedish National Team, defending the yellow jersey, managed to get five riders in the front bunch. The team sprinter Jonas Holmqvist punctured however on the first of three finishing laps. 19 year old Thomas Lövkvist managed to keep the leader's, points and U23 jerseys. [Ed: Phew!
