Warwickshire RC 2-up 2-day

Roger Iddles and Gavin Pardoe made a clean sweep of fastest times and standards in the Warwickshire RC Gentlemen's Weekend on 9/10 October, but a 'one-rider one prize' rule meant that they only took away fastest in 10, 25 and overall. A remarkable 26.54 at the age of 81 by Bill Duffin, Ratae RC and his partner John Quimby, gave them the standard prize in the 10. Conditions were noticeably harder than last year, and almost everyone went back by upwards of a minute in both events. Barry Charley, Stourbridge CC, rode solo when partner Phil Bayton failed to turn up, and made second fastest time in both races (21.27 and 56.23).
