Results and reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Southern Districts Veterans and Ladies Cycling Club, March 16, 2008Wet riding for a good causeNineteen pair of riders from the Southern Districts Veterans and Ladies Cycling Club dug deep, despite the record heat wave engulfing Adelaide, to support the Peter Nelson Leukaemia Charity Two Up Time Trial on Sunday. With nomination fees for the event and donations supporting the charity, the club was pleased to raise over $354.00. The pairs tackled the Kangarilla "S's" twice in this testing 34 km course, then the long high speed descent on Moritz Road, which takes it toll at the best of times, but the hot windy conditions kicked the level of difficulty up another level. The experienced pair of John Watters and Craig Sheldon took out the spot for fastest all male pair on age corrected time with an average speed of 42.2 kph. In the mixed pairs event the combination of Geoff Hillman's powers on the hills and Lynette Collins' strength on the downhill lead the pair to win the mixed pairs event on age corrected with an average speed of 35.1 kph.
