Wind takes toll

Blustery weather conditions and a tough hilly course took it toll on the 68 riders who fronted up on Sunday 20 January at the Southern District Veterans and Ladies Cycling Club.

The Division Two 57km handicap race saw riders having to dig deep and many may have suffered more than they would have liked with next week's racing calendar full of Veterans events to coincide with the Tour Down Under. Both divisions saw the earlier riders being caught by the 'scratchies' and final place getters coming from across the handicap range.
