43km handicap event starting and finishing at the Glenaroua Fire-station. Seventeen riders contested the race on the testing hilly course in warm conditions.

Don Gee took line honors from Lorainne Burgess, who led the race until the final 500m, when she was caught by Gee who was holding out a chasing group led by Tom Madden, just 30secs down on the two leaders. Madden took third place. Carl Simmons was fastest rider with a tim of 1 hour 10mins for the 43kms.
