Josh Marden continues his spectacular progress through the grades to score second place in the 36km A-Grade event at Heffron Park on Saturday 27 March 2004. The King of Heffron Park - Anthony Spurgeon (Caravello) beat Marden by half a wheel. Lining up with 13 other A-Grade hopeful, Marden's performance is all the more impressive given that he joined the Randwick Botany Cycling Club in January 2004 and won his first D-Grade race in February. Progressed through C-Grade, scoring wins in each race. Then won B-Grade last week up against a strong field. Third place went to Jacob Borger (Clarence Street).

Australian U15 250m Track Time Trial Champion - Luke Davision placed second in B-Grade this week. Clive Hammerson won and Daniel Nandini was third.

Thirteen-year-old Tom Patton tried his hand in the 28km C-Grade race and stayed with the bunch to the end. Strongman Richard Westmoreland stormed home to win, followed by Steve Issaksen (Lidcombe-Auburn) and Adam Bradstreet (Randwick Botany).
