Gilmore does it again

Team Menikini - Selle Italia - Master Colours continues to prevail at this year's Tour de PEI. Rochelle Gilmore took her second stage of the event and maintains her lead in the points competition.

Numerous rolling hills in combination with strong winds made for a very demanding stage, however eight riders broke away from the peloton, building a gap of 2.28 over the rest of the pack. Gilmore was the strongest of the break when it came to the sprint for the line.

Gilmore's team-mate Kori Kelley Seehafer leads the event overall going into the final two stages, while Nathalie Bates continues to lead the Queen of the Mountains competition. Bates also holds onto second in the GC, 16 seconds behind her team-mate.
