Stage 4 - May 19: Time Trial

Webcor's Rais builds on lead

In the afternoon's time trial, Amber Rais (Webcor) took her third victory of the event, covering the 5.5 miles in a time of 11.40. Leigh Hobson (Cheerwine) rolled though in a further 12 seconds behind with another Webcor rider, Rachael Heal, just one second further back in third place.

"There were some cross winds and a tail wind at the end," Heal said. "But the course was very flat and fast."

The dominant Rais remains in the overall lead, 40 seconds ahead of Cheerwine's Chrissy Ruiter, with Ruiter's teammate Leigh Hobson moving up into third place.
