Stage 2 - June 14: Schimmert ITT, 11,0 km
Dekker takes it comfortably, Voigt takes yellow

Jens Voigt (CSC) has taken the overall lead with a strong second place after the stage 2 ITT in Schimmert. Rabobank's Erik Dekker grabbed the stage win by a comfortable 10-second margin over the German veteran, with Sébastien Rosseler (QuickStep) taking third and Gerolsteiner's Stefan Schumacher continuing his run of good form with fourth.
Servais Knaven (QuickStep) finished 13th and found the course to his liking, saying after the stage that, "You wanted to ride this time trial full gas and I find that a really good thing. The first part was windy and finally that became a headwind, but it wasn't too much of a problem. On the descent it was vital that you had explored the parcours so you could take it full tilt through the corners. I finished 20 seconds behind Jens Voigt so I'm well satisfied with my time trial."

Milram's Maarten Den Bakker also found the course technically challenging, and said after he finished 29th that, "You had to give it everything. It was a fast beginning then a very technical descent. You had to concentrate to do it well with a few 'spicy' corners. The final stretch was reasonably difficult with a few per cent climb and a headwind - it was difficult and technical, but good!"
Voigt now holds an advantage of eight seconds over his Dutch counterpart going into the 179km third stage around Valkenburg, and said he intends on being at the pointy end of proceedings by the race's end on Sunday now he's got the race lead.
