Wood demolishes field

In probably the single most impressive and inspiring performance in the entire Zimbabwe Cycling season, the veteran tester Kevin Wood, destroyed the Elite field to record a massively impressive performance and claim the Zimbabwe National Time Trial Championship ahead of his team mate Antipass Kwari.

However it was obvious from the off that the hugely powerful yet ageing Wood had complete control on a course which suited his big gear style, as he set up his victory with a huge display of power in the first 20km to demoralize his younger opponents.

Linda Davidson recorded a similarly inspiring ride to pulverize the field for the National Ladies Elite Title whilst Nicola Elcombe gave notice of her potential with a massive display of speed to win her first National Junior Ladies Title.

Jono Brash expectedly secured the National Junior title ahead of Michael Murdoch, whilst Pierre Gouws and Brian Watson secured the Masters and Veterans titles.
