International Cycling Classic - Superweek - NEUSA, July 9-25, 2004Main Page Results Previous Race Next Race Race 10 - July 17: Carl Zach Cycling Classic presented by Couri Insurance AgencySayers takes twoBy Superweek In a race in which 11 riders lapped the field, Michael Sayers defeated Harm Jansen in a two-up sprint to win his second consecutive International Cycling Classic race at the Carl Zach Cycling Classic in Waukesha on Saturday evening. Sayers and Jansen were part of a four-rider breakaway that materialized on the 10th of 90 laps and went on to lap the field in front of a second group of six which did the same. Carlos Vargas (Endeavour Cycling Team) saw his lead in the overall standings trimmed to only 13 points ahead of Harm Jansen, but Vargas remains the yellow jersey holder for another day. David Fuentes (Morgan Stanley) continues to rack up sprint points for a commanding lead in the Sportsbook.com Sprint Competition. In the women's Pro/Am race, it was Suzanne Sonye (Helens Trek/VW) beating Sarah Tillotson (Athletes By Design) and Megan Monroe (TDS/Schwalbe), however sixth-placed Tina Pic (Genesis Scuba/FFCC) still has a commanding lead of the America's Dairyland Challenge overall title and the Nicole Reinhart Sprint Series.
