The first stage of the 4th Giro della Liguria, which was to start and finish in Castellaro, had to be cancelled today for traffic reasons. The organisers didn't receive permission from the prefecture of Imperia to close the roads and had no option but to call off the stage. Tomorrow's 147 km leg from Andora to Pietra Ligure should go ahead as planned.
