Pellizotti wins Swiss opener
Italian rider Franco Pellizotti (Alessio-Bianchi) has won the opening race on the Swiss calendar, the 6th GP Chiasso in a two man sprint against Leonardo Bertagnoli (Saeco). The pair escaped with 60 km to go in the 165 km race, which was run in very cold conditions. Frenchman Cedric Vasseur (Cofidis) finished third, 13 seconds behind the two leaders.
