Hannah Banks won a three-up sprint to beat Jade Gilbertsen (Akarana) and another Australian Amy Kirk. The bunch finished almost one minute behind. In the Junior under 17 girl's race Rushlee Buchanan (Te Awamutu) added to her long list of provincial and national titles when she beat Bridgette Broad (Akarana) and time trial champion Odette Sceats (Gisborne) in a three-up sprint. The trio finished nearly two minutes clear of the main bunch.
