The Swiss beat Paolo Bettini (Quick.Step) and Sergei Ivanov (Fassa Bortolo) in a seven man sprint, which also contained Michael Skelde (fakta), Steffen Wesemann and Serguei Yakovlev (Telekom) and Jan Ullrich (Bianchi).
