The Piet Hoekstra Saga

Following our story last week about the Dutch women rider's complaints about their coach Piet Hoekstra who they alleged was often drunk with girlfriends in the team car during races...[the mind boggles!]... The KNWU has decided that he will be stood down for 6 weeks. They decided this after a meeting of three hours on Sunday and asked Hennie Kuiper to step in as the Women's National Coach for the World Championships in San Sebastian next month.
