Not a lot to report about the last stage. It was wet and the pace was kept high by the TVM team, thwarting any attempts to break away. Henk Vogels and Steven de Jongh crashed in the final kilometer while at the head of affairs leading up the Sprint. Both are OK.

Overall at the end there were 94 finishers from 148 starters. Average speed of 40.329 for the 1,344.7 kilometers. Teams classification was won by ONCE. Australia's ZVVZ Giant AIS were 12th of the 24 teams.
