Tyler-Sharman breaks Watt's Pursuit record
At the Adelaide Superdome last night, Lucy Tyler-Sharman broke
Kathy Watt's National Pursuit record by 2.5 seconds. The new mark
is no 3.44.41. This seems to be vindication of her selection to ride
the pursuit at Atlanta which Kathy Watt overturned via the Sports
Arbitration Court. Watt failed badly at Atlanta, while Tyler Sharman
won a medal and has continued her form since.
In the men's sprint challenge, Canadian Kurt Hartnett, riding his last
international event beat Gary Neiwand 2-1. It was a reply of the bronze
medal ride-off at Atlanta.
