Madouas and others to Lotto

The Lotto team has contracted 3 new riders. The Frenchman Laurent Madouas (aged 29) has signed for 2 years with Jean-Luc Vandenbroucke's team. He rode this season with Motorola. Michael Huebner wins his last race

East German sprint star Michael Huebner won his last race. At his farewell gala at the velodrome of Chemnitz, the 37 year old Hubner won the Keirin race ahead of Emanuel Raasch (Berlin) and Frenchman Frederic Magne. Hubner also won a one lap time trial with 17.90 sec. Second was his team-mate Jens Fiedler (18.18), third the Australian world champion Daryll Hill (18.80). Huebner, who'll now retire, has been one of the most successful German track cyclists ever.
