``This was only my fourth time trial but I have had seven road race wins this season,'' said Sironi who has already signed a contract with a professional team for next year.
He was second in the Italian time trial championship and was runner-up in a time trial stage of the William Tell Grand Prix, three seconds slower than the Swiss professional winner, Oscar Camenzind.
Sgambelluri has also landed a professional team place following his overall victory in the amateur Giro d'Italia.
