Last season Nijboer was with the mountain bike team American Eagle. 1998 Giro d'ItaliaThe 1998 Giro d'Italia route will be presented on Saturday at the Lirico Theatre in Milan. There will be a direct television coverage of the presentation from 15.30. This is the 81st edition of the race which is organised by the Italian sporting newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport and will run from Saturday May 16 to Sunday June 7 1998.Attending the presentation will be 1997 winner Ivan Gotti (Team Saeco), 1996 winner Pavel Tonkov (Mapei-GB) from Russua and Giuseppe Guerini (Team Polti). The Gazzetta will bring a full coverage in its Sunday edition and will conduct a general forum on its Internet Site at www.gazzetta.it.
