OMINI HOLDS THE WORLD IN HIS HANDS

   1997 WORLDS -

The coming week will see the official decision on the site of next
year's World Championships. It is almost a virtual certainty that
they will go to the Canton Ticino (Lugano) as it won out in
balloting over the Cantone di Berna. If the Rainbow Race (Road and
Time trial) is assigned to Lugano, Agostino Omini will then pass
the reponsibilities on to the Ticinese Worlds Committee.
