The Ronde van Vlaanderen's just round the corner.... Gianluca Pianegonda (Ita) Mapei won today's "Brabant Arrow" 183km race with TVM'S Maarten den Bakker (Ned) second and Michael Boogerd (Ned) third. Gianluca Pianegonda who rode for Team Polti last year improved from his third placing in 1996. The race goes up the cote d'Alsemberg (12% in parts) five times. Results1.
