Pedro Delgado makes some predictions

The ex-cycling pro, Pedro Delgado told EFE in Spain "that there are promising riders, that after Indurain's departure, show a lot of hope for the future". "Abraham Olano will take over cycling in out country this year, but he won't be alone, because cyclists like Juan Carlos Dominguez, Santiago Blanco, Angel Casero and others have a golden opportunity that they can't waste", added Pedro Delgado.

Many riders have been 'covered' by Indurain until now and what we have seen at this beginning of the season with Spanish victories at Valencia and Andalucia has meant a lot of hapiness to all cycling fans", said Delgado. The winner of the 1988 Tour said that What Miguel did "is already history", to emphasize that "we have to live everyday's reality, with the young promises". "The absence of wins from Spanish cycling last season shouldn't happen again and I hope that the cycling fans start getting excited already with Olano", concluded Perico Delgado.
