Stage 2
Rolf Jaermann won the 177km second stage from
Henk Vogels and Stephen Swart. Frank Vandenbroucke, yesterday's stage
winner and overall leader finished in the main peloton which came in more
than 20 minutes behind the lead group. Jaermann now leads overall, with
Vogels second at 6 seconds and Swart third at 31 secs.
Stages 3(a) and 3(b)
Max van Heeswijk (Motorola) won Stage 3(a) which was
123km from Bettembourg to Foetz, with Jo Planckaert second.
Rolf Sorensen
won Stage 3(b), a 12km time trial from Foetz to Bettembourg. Jacky Durand
was second at 3 secs and Emmanuel Magnien third at 13 secs. Rolf Jaermann
is overall leader, 5 secs ahead of Magnien.
Stage 4 and Final
Diekirch--Diekirch 161 kms
The final stage was won by Fabiano Fontanelli
with 4 mins 10 secs over Hendrik Redant. Third was Jo Plankaert at 9.19.
Rolf Jaermann took the final overall, with Emmanuel Magnien second at 5
secs and Gianluca Bortolami third at 18 secs.
