Rolf's Diary UpdateSpiez, 21 June 97Time trial, 5th stage, Tour de Suisse I just came back from our osteopath. He found that I have tense muscles in the neck area and then he pulled on my head in all direction, that I thought he would rip my head from my torso! But it's actually better now. It can hardly get better, in the time trial I was in the top 20, without warming up, without knowing the course, and without a lot of morale. Who knows if it continues like this... Bosco Gurin, 22 June 97 6th stage, Tour de Suisse Rain, rain, rain, then hills, hills, hills. And for what. They annulled the "king stage" and chose a replacement course, and then one rode 3km with 39/25, that has never happend in my pro career. The hills were somewhat steep for me, but I arrived relative well in Bosco Gurin. And our leader Agnolutto rode super. Unfortunately we haven't yet got the Tour de Suisse in the bag, but today he gave the entire team super morale. Track: World Cycling Cup (Fiorenzuola, Italy)

Classic, U.S. Pro Points Series Race (1 pf 9):Seventh year U.S. Pro Scott Monninger, of Team Navigator, came into form in time to dominate the 37th Annual Nevada City Classic on Sun June 22. Monninger jumped out of the group in the back side of the course around lap 6 of 40, and had lapped the field by the half-way mark. Chris Horner, of the French team, Francaise Des Jeux, took second more than a minute behind Monninger, with Navigator Chad Gerlach sitting dutifully on his wheel.
