de France, and the fourth a partial selection...

Gerard Rue rode a good French championship yesterday but hasn't been
selected, nor has Ronan Pensec who hasn't shown much this year.
Laurent Desbiens and Philippe Gaumont, who have ridden well this year
are under threat of suspension for drug use and Roger Legeay has
thought it politic not to select either.

No Jean-Francois Bernard. Agrigel has taken an opportunistic view on
Durand and Laurent, both of whom have tested positive for nadrolone
this season -- it's recognized that no sanctions can be taken against
them until the second week of July. Arnuld is a recruit from ForceSud.

Three places to be filled depending partly on medical tests. Emmanuel
Magnien crashed in training and is being checked to see if he has a
fractured scaphoid; Jean-Cyril Robin crashed in the French
championships and has damaged a metacarpal bone. Bruno Boscardin and
Stephane Goubert are also runners for the final places.
