Belgian Mapei team members angry

According to the latest information, Museeuw will be the only Belgian rider in the Mapei team for the Tour de France. Wilfried Peeters was not designated. Johan Museeuw refuses to race the TDF without the aid of Peeters and said he just would not start the race without his friend.

Just now, the news broke out that the future for the Belgian riders in the Italian Mapei team is not sure. Peeters, Bomans, Leysen did not even have a contract signed.

Paris-Roubaix???

I always knew that a big team with 4 or more nationalities with too many "star-riders" is just searching for trouble. Now that Mapei contracted Gotti, and there are rumours of Berzin and Colombo, Mapei could be a complete new team next year, with nothing but stars yet no "helpers"!!
