TVM wants Henk Vogels

TVM is interested in Henk Vogels. Vogels is with GAN; but GAN will stop at the end of this season. In the pre-season all the GAN-riders promised chef d'equipe Roger Legaey to wait with signing till September 1; because he looks for another sponsor.

Changes at Foreldorado

Foreldorado, headsponsor of the smallest Dutch pro-team, will become co-sponsor next year. In case Gerrie van Gerwen can't find a new main sponsor, Golff (the sub-sponsor of this seasons) will become the head sponsor for next year. The budget of Foreldorado is this year 1,400,000 Dutch guilders.

Cipollini

Mario Cipollini signed for another two years with Seaco. Mapei was interested in him.

Adri van der Poel

Adri van der Poel (38) another year. The former World Champion cyclecross 1966, Adri van der Poel, will ride another year for Rabobank. He will ride mostly in cycle-cross races and some smaller road-races.

Van der Poel will start in 1998 his 18th professional cycle-season. He did the Tour de France 9 times (won 2 stages) and won classics as Ronde van Vlaanderen, Luik-Bastenaken-Luik and Amstel Gold Race.
