Groenendaal (Ned) Illness delays Pantani's returnItalian Marco Pantani, out of cycling for more than a year following a bad road crash, will miss his comeback race on Tuesday because of influenza.Pantani had been due to race in the Laigueglia Trophy in northern Italy. He now hopes to make his return on Sunday in Spain's Puig Trophy, his coach Beppe Martinelli said. The Italian needed an operation on his left leg after smashing into a car during the Milan-Turin race in October 1995. |
