Soestduinen, NL Xmas Cyclo Cross
Richard Groenendaal won the international xmas cyclo cross at Soestduinen on
Thursday. The cyclo cross rider from St. Michielsgestel had almost a minute gap
on Wim de Vos to come first over the course. Erik Boezewinkel finished third.
Adri van der Poel, who is having a great tussle with Groenendaal this season
ended up ninth.

Parabiagi, Italy, International Cyclo Cross
On Thursday (26/12/96), Paul Herijgers won the international cyclo cross in the
Italian town of Parabiago. The Belgian was the strongest rider, with the
Italian rider, Daniele Pontoni at 55 seconds. Fellow Italian Luca Bramati
finished third at 2.24.
