Stage 1 ReportBeikirch, a 27-year-old track specialist outsprinted Chris Horner and a 60-strong peloton after the race had regrouped about 12km from the finish by way of a chase led by French military team Bataillon de Joinville. This picked up a 15-man break including Millar, Saugrain (Cofidis); Horner, Seigneur (La Francaise des Jeux); Morin (BigMat Auber), Zamana (Mroz), Bratkowski (Team E-Plus Service) that had been away for a large part of the 100km race on a 5-km circuit. Before the big sprint, Breton sprinter Rodolphe Henry looked like having the race in the bag but suffered a tyre rolling off the rim in the last 100 metres.Stage 2 , Rostrenen, 140 kms:1. Seigneur and Andreu had earlier broken clear from a small lead group 10km from the finish, the other members of the break being Vincent Cali, Sebastian Medan and Markus Andersson (VC Roubaix).
