Dilsen is on the border with the Netherlands just north of Maastricht, near to
Maasmechelen.
It is flat territory. I have ridden the race several times. It is a flat circuit
that runs from the sport's field (start-finish) and around the houses in the
village. Boring race.
The professional race is part of the Drie Nachts van Dilsen (3 nights of Dilsen) which finishes with a classic Belgian party in a tent with a cabaret band and lots of beer.
