After very heavy rainfall the organisation decided to cut several laps of the circuit from the total distance. The length was reduced to 117 km as a result.

The winner was Hendrik Redant (Bel-TVM). He is going to send the flowers to the wife of Danny Dejonckheere. He died yesterday as a result of the injuries he suffered after his fall in a race for elites without a contract a few days before. He was going to join Palmans as a trainee on September 1st! He was only 22 when he died.
