Preview

Bjarne Riis will start in the Dutch race - Veenendaal-Veenendaal (210 km) on April 17. Other riders who have entered include: Rolf Sorensen (Rabobank), Jeroen Blijlevens (TVM), Claudio Chiappucci (Asics), Marco Pantani (Mercatone Uno) and Dimitri Konisjev (Roslotto). The organization is still talking with Mapei (Museeuw, Steels) and Cofidis (Fondriest) about starting.

In total there are already 17 teams: Rabobank, TVM and Foreldorado Golff. Lotto is not coming (with the winner of last year: Andrei Tchmil.

Rabobank comes with: Sorensen (Den), Van Bon, Koerts, Piziks (Let), Vierhouten, Van Heeswijk, Blaudzun Den) and McEwen (Aus).

TVM: Blijlevens, Capiot (Bel), Hoffman, De Jongh, Knaven, Michaelsen (Den), Van Petegem (Bel) and Skibby (Den).

Foreldorado Golff: Van den Akker, Den Braber, Cerneus, Cornelisse, Hordijk.

Blijlevens won Veenendaal-Veenendaal in a sprint with 21 riders. Leon van Bon became 2nd and Arvis Piziks 3rd.
