Wellington Classic Day One - Prologue Team Time Trial

The Australian Institute of Sport team dropped two riders but still managed to win the time trial prologue to the Wellington Tour in rain and high winds yesterday (3/4).

Deane Roger, 19, was first over the line for the Australians and will wear the race leader's yellow jersey in today's stage from Lower Hutt through the Akatarawa Valley to Waikanae The AIS-Giant team was 12 secs clear of New Zealand team Fowler Construction led by Brian Fowler.

much news about this race out or that the OZ press ignores it. We tend to
