First 18 Giro d'Italia Teams Announced

Eighteen of the 22 teams to contest the 79th Giro d'Italia (May 18--June 9) have been announced; the four remaining teams will be selected later. The 18 are Carrera, Ceramica Panaria, Brescialat, Ceramiche Refin, Gewiss-Playbus, MG-Technogym, Mapei-GB, San Marco, Team Polti, Scrigno-Blue Storm, Glacial-Selle Italia, Saeco, Festina, Roslotto-ZG Mobili, MX Onda, Kelme-Artiach, Aki-Gipiemme and TVM.
