This is another challenging stage with much hanging on the final climb to the dam wall.

Mirjam Melchers has won the stage from Tumut to Talbingo but that was without the Dam Wall being involved; The very talented Mari Holden has also triumphed in a time trial over 8 kilometres concluding on the dam wall, and both will be hoping to repeat their performances this time around.

The cyclists climb for the first 15 kilometres, with a mountain sprint after 14.8 km which could break up the field. The next 30 kilometres are undulating as the cyclists travel past the beautiful Blowering Reservoir into Talbingo with the final 4 kilometre finish comprising a Category 1 climb to the top of the dam wall, with the finish located after crossing the dam wall.
