- Saturn runs rings
around the peloton - With only a one second lead - and a 20 second
time bonus on offer for the final stage - the Netherlands' Mirjam Melchers
was always going to have fight to retain her leader's jersey in this
year's Tour de Snowy.
- Agony for Arndt
- "It's not over until 6:15pm this evening!" were the words of Saturn's
Catherine Marsal before the start of this morning's fourth stage from
Adaminaby to Cooma.

- Dam fine finish
for Emma James - 25 year old Sydneysider Emma James (NSWIS-Trek)
claimed a gutsy victory in the third stage of the Tour de Snowy, which
finished in a short but very steep climb of the Talbingo dam wall.
- Wright way to
do it - Australian Institute of Sport rider Alison Wright took victory
in the first of today's two Tour de Snowy stages.

- Melchers clean
sweeps first stage - Dutchwoman Mirjam Melchers has given herself
a perfect head start in the women's Tour de Snowy, winning the first,
and possibly the toughest stage from Khancoban to Tumbarumba.

Queen of the Mountains - The first round of the women's World Cup
in the Snowy Mountains has finished with Saturn's sprinting superstar
Petra Rossner taking line honours in front of Rochelle Gilmore (NSWIS)
and Mirjam Melchers (Netherlands).

Cycling to compete in World Cup round 1 - Four time road cycling
world champion and triple Olympic Games gold medallist, Leontien Van
Moorsel-Zijlaard, will arrive in Canberra tomorrow to prepare for the
upcoming opening round of the 2002 UCI Women's Road World Cup and Tour
de Snowy.
