Museeuw wins second stage in Handzame

Johan Museeuw (Domo-Farm Frites) won the second stage of the Guldensporentweedaagse, 159 kilometres from Bellegem to Handzame. He was the fastest of a small leading group, beating Jérôme Neuville (Cofidis) and Remco Van Der Ven (Bankgiroloterij-Batavus) after a last minute attack.

"The old lion still has claws," said Museeuw after his first real victory since the 2000 Paris-Roubaix.

The race leader after two stages is Jean-Patrick Nazon (Francaise des Jeux), who placed fourth in this morning's time trial won by Coen Boerman.
