Mike Turtur, race director comments: "The traditional Barossa Circuit which takes in the home of our Naming Right's Sponsor at the actual location of "Jacob's Creek" in Rowland Flat, starts in Gawler - a town that has featured in the Tour since its inception. The route then takes the riders along the gruelling two circuits of the Barossa which includes the very tough Menglers Hill. It's during this stage that the race can be won or lost, depending on attacks up the climb.

This is truly a fantastic day to take in the race, as spectators can get themselves a good spot in any of the beautiful towns the race passes through, or join in the atmosphere along the Menglers Hill climb."
