Mike Turtur, race director comments: "Hahndorf is a new start location for the Tour. The town has provided tremendous support to the race over the past three years by means of an intermediate sprint location.

Having the start there with a return back through the town 94km later for the SA Lotteries Sprint will allow spectators and supporters to be at the start and enjoy the festivities and atmosphere of the historic town of Hahndorf before following the race down to Strathalbyn.

The biggest challenge of the day will be the ever popular Checker Hill just outside of Kersbrook. Short, sharp but very steep!

Then the race heads back through Hahndorf heading down through Callington for the first time before finishing in the beautiful town and popular finishing location of Strathalbyn."
