Win a mountain bike at the Skilled Tour of Tasmania

Two lucky followers of the Skilled Tour of Tasmania will have the chance to be among the winner’s list.

Simply by attending the pre-race launch in Hobart on February 26 or the last stage finish at Launceston on March 3, two people will get the chance to win a $500 mountain bike.

The Skilled Tour of Tasmania will start in Hobart on February 27 with a tough 97 km stage to Kingston via Huonville.

But prior to that, an Avanti men’s and/or a Raleigh women’s mountain bike will be given away.

To win the bike, all you have to do is attend the pre-race launch at Hobart’s Wrest Point Casino and place your name is specially designated box.

It will be a similar scenario at the Launceston Casino for the closing stage when the second bike will be given away.

Tour of Tasmania Director, John Trevorrow, said the bikes had been made available by Ray Appleby Cycles.

"It should prove to be a great promotion for the tour, which in turn will showcase the many features Tasmania has to offer," Trevorrow said.

The second bike will be offered to a member of the general public, who attends the final stage of the tour, which will be an individual time trial held in and around the Launceston Country Club Casino.

The Tour of Tasmania will be held over five days including six stages and featuring 16 teams of five riders ­ 21 of which are from overseas.
