Sheffield's Mark Jamieson completed his grand slam of the Tasmanian TRack Cycling Championships
at the Launceston Silverdome today (Sunday, February 24) in emphatic style.
Competing in the Under 19 Men's 3000 m Individual Pursuit, Jamieson produced a sizzling 3.29.31 in his qualifying round and then went even better in the final.
Preparing for next week's Skilled Tour of Tasmania, Jamieson was in rare form, winning no less than five gold medals in the course of three days at the Silverdome.
In the final of the 3000m IP, Jamieson lifted to an even higher plane, timed at 3.26.34 and won easily from is Mersey Valley - Devonport Cycling Club teammate David Klyne, whom he lapped in the closing 300m.
Launceston's Matthew Goss (Under 17 Men), Hobart's Samantha Masters (Under 17 Women) and Riana's Ben Fielding (Under 15 Mens) also produced grand slam efforts for the championship weekend, winning all gold medals in their respective age and gender groups.
Other gold medal winners in today's individual pursuit events included Grace Sulzberger (Under 15 Women) and Belinda Goss (Under 19 Women).
The only other title on offer was the Tasmanian Under 13 Scratch, whch was won by Edward Robinson.
Tasmanian Cycling Federation selectors also announced the Tasmanian State teams to contest this year's National Championships.

Under 19 Men: Mark Jamieson, Jarrod Burr, Abram Manion, David Klyne, Ryan Sullivan.

Under 17 Men: Matt Goss, Ty Winduss, John Raynor, Wes Sulzberger.
Under 17 Women: Samantha Masters, Natasha Mapley, Kim Hogarth, Carolyn Cunningham.
Under 15 Men: Ben Fielding, Will Robinson, Sean Oliver, Alex Holden.
Under 15 Women: Angela Klyne, Grace Sulzberger, Sarah Eaves, Carrie Price.
