22 year-old Damián Martínez (Guantanamo A), won the three stage Clásico de Ciclismo Alejandro de Humboldt ahead of Americans Joe Papp and Todd Herriott.
The event, which took place from February 8-10 in the cities of Guantanamo and Baracoa, Cuba, featured two circuit races and a 176km mountain stage. Said Herriott after the race, "Putting two Americans on the podium gives us confidence heading into the Vuelta a Cuba. It's a great result and I'm proud of how well the team rode, especially considering how early in the year it is for us."
