Day 6 - November 6

Zabel and Aldag triumph in Dortmund

Erik Zabel and Rolf Aldag have repeated last year's victory in the Dortmund Six Days in an exciting final night in front of several thousand fans. The pair finished on the same lap as Bruno Risi/Kurt Betschart, but beat the Swiss duo by 107 points. Due to the bonus lap system after every 100 points earned, had the Swiss had gained another 20 points on the final night they would have finished one lap up on the Germans. It was not to be and Zabel celebrated his third success in Dortmund, while Aldag won his sixth race there since 1991.

In third place were Germans Andreas Beikirch/Andreas Kappes on 336 points, ahead of Risi/Betschart on points but one lap behind.
