Casarotto wins in Germany

Alessio's Davide Casarotto has won the 13th edition of the Rund um den Flughafen Köln/Bonn, beating Cofidis track expert Robert Sassone and Lotto's Nico Eeckhout by four seconds. Casarotto had escaped from a 12 man leading group with 1 kilometre to go, and held them off with plenty to spare. The race was held over four laps of a 48 km circuit.
