It was her third tour stage win, after the prologue and stage 5, and she beat home trade teammate Lyne Bessette (Canada) and Julie Young (Autotrader.com). The bunch sprint did not change the overall lead, and Edita Pucinskaite (Alfa Lum) kept her yellow jersey. There were 6 riders who didn't even start today, and three who didn't finish, reducing the field to 50 riders. New Zealander Sarah Ulmer attacked by herself after 20 kilometres, and was away for much of the day before being absorbed with 10 kilometres to go. Tomorrow is another split day, with an undulating stage between Castelnaudary and Bram (45 km), then another between Bram and Limoux (63 km).
