Bernucci and Luperini win in Switzerland

Italian U23 rider, Lorenzo Bernucci has won the first round of the Espoirs World Cup, the Giro dei 6 Comuni in Switzerland. Bernucci finished in front of Zoccorinese Vellutex teammate Yaroslav Popovych, after the two had attacked 8 kilometres from the finish.

In the women's race, GAS Sport rider Fabiana Luperini recorded her first win of the season by beating former teammate Simone Parente and Great Britain's Sara Symington in a solo breakaway.
