Edilsavino wins on Alfa Lum home ground

Edilsavino dominated the second edition of Trofeo Alfa Lum in the little republic of San Marino, enclaved in Italy. On the fourth of six laps on a 14 kilometres circuit the final selection was made. In the group was Fabiana Luperini, who helped Susanne Ljungskog escape on the Poggio climb in the Primavera Rosa world cup race the day before. This time Luperini went alone on the slopes of Monte Titano and no one could follow. Her team mate, Swiss Nicole Brändli, also managed to escape from the following group closer to the finish and on the final descent Swedish Jenny Algelid also took off on her own. Hosting Alfa Lum had to settle for fourth through Edita Pucinskaite ahead of another Edilsavino rider, Simona Parente..
